Does XMLwriter support Unicode?
Unicode will be supported in a future Windows NT version.
Can XMLwriter be used for HTML editing?
Yes. XMLwriter supports HTML and CSS files. If you are using XMLwriter to write HTML documents, you can still take advantage of features such as the Project View to manage your files. You can also preview your files in the internal browser.
What type of files can I edit in XMLwriter?
Any text file can be edited in XMLwriter. Most importantly, XML, XSL, DTD, HTML and CSS files can be edited in XMLwriter. The real time colour syntax highlighting of tags works with all of the listed file types. For example, in HTML documents, any tag that is not defined in the W3C's HTML 4.0 Specification will be highlighted.
Can I use XMLwriter on Windows 3.X, Macintosh or Unix?
No. XMLwriter is designed for the Windows 95/98/2000 and Windows NT4 operating systems.
Do I need to have a particular browser installed to use XMLwriter?
Yes. You need to have Microsoft's Internet Explorer (Version 4.01 SP1 or higher) installed in order to use XMLwriter. Other XML-enabled browsers can be found at the XML Software site.
